The Goal: To create a collection of international images of children's lunches, and the stories, ideas, issues, histories, traditions facts and recipes of the maker. What is important to them when making the meal. A personal account. A place to learn from one another, bridge cultural perceptions. View socio/economic/environmental and nutritional issues that affect peoples daily lives, at a core level.
Please add to this collection or just browse through it. For more details see post December 17 2007, "Thoughts to Ponder"
HELP: Post or email me a photo and a little explanation about what you do for lunch for your children, and why. Or any other stories myths, pieces of history or recipies that relate.
Please pass this on to anyone you think would be interested in participating as well.
My daughters from first to seventh grade. Sourdough bread with a particular ham, full grain mustard, and salid with a preferance to spinach or even cabbage for crispness. Some fruit, veggies and a sweet.
On the Go Eater
For my 2 year old I try to keep it healthy. He's more of a snacker. Here an unusal shot, fruit, milk, and some chicken with whole grain toast.
Lunch for my 14 year old - all organic, ham sandwich on fresh whole wheat bread, lots of salad, fruits, a couple chocolate cookies and a fruit bar to tie her over for a very long day at school.
